Privacy Policy

Effective September 28, 2026 · applies to the ZenQR browser extension for Chrome, Edge and Firefox

ZenQR does not collect, store on any server, sell, or share any personal data. Everything the extension does happens locally in your browser.

Data we collect

None. ZenQR has no account system, no analytics, no telemetry, no crash reporting and no advertising. The developer operates no server that the extension talks to.

Data processed on your device

Data stored in your browser

Your settings and, if enabled, a history of the QR codes you generated or scanned are saved in your browser's extension storage on your device. You can turn history off, clear it, or export it to a file from the extension at any time. Uninstalling the extension removes this data.

Network requests

ZenQR makes no network requests of its own. The only exceptions are actions you explicitly take: when you scan an image from a web page, the browser may load that image from the website that hosts it, and when you open a URL found in a QR code, your browser navigates to that address.

Browser permissions

Sharing and sale of data

Because no data is collected, none is sold, transferred to third parties, or used for advertising, creditworthiness or lending purposes.

Changes and contact

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published on this page with a new effective date. Questions can be raised as an issue at github.com/zenLoading/ZenQR/issues.
